LOL. Why do you assume she is a potential victim who lacks "agency"? Do you think that all unmarried mothers are passive and at the mercy of their baby daddies?

They're smart people. It's certainly possible they have some sort of agreement in place -- like the parenting equivalent of a pre-nup.

Though it might be challenging to think through (and agree to) their respective financial responsibilities and obligations if things were to later go south, that's what family lawyers are for. Frankly, I hope they did this. It would be good insurance and peace of mind for them both.
