Where should we look "further out" from Bethesda?

King farm in Rockville. Two neighborhood pools.

? OP preferred a large lot. I think most of the homes in those planned communities are "tiny". I know people who live in KF, and while it's a nice enough community, the lots are pretty small, no yard to speak of.

OP, you didn't mention schools. Is that a factor?

Rockville/Potomac 20854 has homes with a large lot and a ton of people join the private Potomac Woods pool. Their swim team is very active and quite good, from I what I understand. My kids aren't part of the swim team, but I know people whose kids are.

You can definitely find a home for < $2m there, and it would take you less than an hour to get to Bethesda from this area.

Seriously. "I can't find a house I like w/in 75 minutes of Bethesda for less than $2m . . . " GMAFB.

Op here.

Basically looking for other options like river falls (pool community or with a pool club nearby that is not hard to get into). Preferably with newer homes and slightly larger yards but certainly not necessary.

Yes, I agree we are fortunate to have many options at this budget. Just trying to investigate all options. Thank you for the help.
