Best wilderness programs

OP, are you working with a psychiatrist? What kind of provider is suggesting wilderness therapy? I suggest meds to my kid in a supportive way, but he rejected the idea. I proposed instead that he go to the psychiatrist first and talk to him and learn about medication and non-medication options before making a final decision. I also gave him access to a therapist to discuss his thoughts. I reassured him that medication is a process and sometimes it requires some trial and error to figure out the right medication and dose, so we would always listen to him and he could atop anytime with the guidance of the psychiatrist (because some meds need to be stopped in steps over time).

The process of getting him to try and get stable on an effective medication took about a year. And really required me to cede a fair amount of control to him.
