You must be joking? I am 39 and can't find things at Talbot's.

Try Nordstrom Brass Plum, Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off 5th, or threadup?

I’m going to go out on a limb and say Goodwill or Salvation Army. My fashion conscious DD goes there every few weeks and gets jeans, t shirts, hoodies, flannel shirts etc.
And I’ve seen groups of girls there arms full of hoodies from the men’s section and a group of high school boys looking at t shirts.

My girls always shopped at Hot Topic. Where does your kid want to shop, OP?

+2.

My teen likes anthropologie too. Also American Eagle.

But AS and Anthro can be pricey.

If you are in MoCo, go to South Moon Under in Wildwood Shopping Center.

She gets overwhelmed when trying on clothes at places like urban outfitter because the skirts are super short on tall thin girls and many of the fitted tops show her belly or a lot of cleavage. She’s got an intense class load and neither of us need the drama of arguing about what’s appropriate so I would like to go to stores with a higher success rate even if I have to pay more. She’s feminine and into fashion. I would also appreciate advice on setting appropriate boundaries for school and weekend clothes. Please no judgment - I get enough of that.

American Eagle and H&M.

My teenage son's girlfriend told me she did a personal shopper at Nordstrom with her mom. She said it was great -- saved them a bunch of time (and arguing).

It sounds like OP is willing to pay?

Poshmark is fun!

My dd likes pac sun, urban outfitters, American eagle, aerie, brandy Melville, golf, athleta, lululemon and sweatshirts like champion or Nike.

Since she is juniors/ teen sIze, most of the stuff in xs and 00 is online. If find we have to order online and just return a lot.

Decide beforehand what is acceptable to you for school vs other times and tell her those rules. Example: not crop tops for school. ( warning, there are some very stupid looking clothes that are in style now like flair jeans and very tight tank tops. Or super baggy sweats)

My philosophy: as long as it’s not permanent like a tattoo or something, and as long as she’s covering her boobs and butt crack, if she wants to look ridiculous I don’t really care. If it’s someone’s wedding or something, I will give her rules for what to wear. Otherwise, it’s really just her expressing herself.
