Triple threat camp at Episcopal

The camp website indicates that it is being offered this summer for one session only and only for rising grades 6, 7, 8, and 9. So no longer an option for high schoolers it seems...

Does anyone know why they got rid of the high school sessions?

Just competing schedules with all the showcases like BIC etc., and also a lack of college assistant coaches/coaches able to attend. Great camp though for the littles.

Probably ran up against the higher profile camps. Tough to compete with all of the new camps and clinics. Probably doesn’t help that they don’t limit it to intermediate and advanced players at the middle school camp.

Is it true that they will not have this for high schoolers anymore?

Correct, doesn't look like it's being offered to high schoolers anymore. The only option on the website is the week for rising 6th through rising 9th graders.

Does anyone have any insight as to if it just hasn't been posted for high school yet? Is it safe to say it really isn't happening or is it just not posted yet?

I think KJ is winding down high school.

Also extremely frustrating that the only week they offer is while Arlington schools are still in session! If Triple threat is on this thread, please do your research before you pick dates prior to the school year ending for local districs. Definitely would love some other camp suggestions for a rising 6th grade girl.

I only know about the KJ / Capital relationship from this site but does this mean Capital might have a similar camp for high schoolers?

100%. And as much as I know the last few days of school offer little teaching, my rising 6th grader does not want to miss the last few days of elementary school

I understand that coach is likely tied to the days the school will allow but it shows just how much lacrosse disrespects public school kids....yet another example.

I don't think Capital runs any camps. They will likely offer 4 or 5 pre-tryout clinics in the early summer for players planning to try out for Capital for next year, but I think that is it.

Not a camp per say, but a series of recruiting events under the "Capital Baller" branding.

My DD’s teammates went to the HS camp last year and it wasn’t as good as their experience in MS the year prior.

The MS camp two summers ago was great. A lot of college coaches were there and offered plenty of feedback and encouragement. DD made a few new acquaintances and they still keep in touch. The girls enjoyed the sleepaway camp aspect, as well.

According to DD’s teammates, HS camp last summer was meh. They had college students (who played basketball) running their drills, and they were offered no feedback at all. The friends they made the year prior weren’t there. Overall it was not worth their time and funds.

Based on this feedback, I wouldn’t be surprised if HS camp will not happen this year?

Anyone registered for this? Curious if they explained why no HS sessions were offered
