Why did you think it was appropriate to make the comment that you did basically highlighting you don't give a shit?

I'd be upset with you and I'm not someone who's ott with birthdays. It's not the gift or planning it's the lack of consideration.
And you double down on it with this thread wanting people tell you it's no big deal and husband is a jerk.

Another +1. It's nice to go out to dinner together not so much for the birthday but just because we don't get much time together and it's a reason to go out. But yeah, birthdays are mainly for children.
