The worse Tenleytown becomes, the more expensive AU Park gets. I don’t get it

Just curious what this means. . . ?

DP but its becoming quite dumpy as there has not been a lot of new investment. Really the newest investment are the Cityline condos, which was decades ago. City Ridge will be very important but that whole corridor desperately needs more investment.

Hard to do that when the neighbors attempt to block virtually any new development nearby on the grounds that it will destroy the neighborhood's character.

On the other hand, I live around the corner from this house and there's no way I'd pay $3 million to live here, even if I had the money.

Bets are the buyer has kids they are planning to send through one of the private schools in the area. Sidwell and GDS have or are consolidating and River School is moving nearby. They don’t much care about Tenleytown.

We’ve lived in AU Park for 10 years and watched the the housing prices go nuts. No one who lives here can believe it. Most houses do go for 1.3 to 1.7.

That’s pretty much all over DC.

Interesting. Why not? Because of the aforementioned dumpy corridor along Wisconsin?

Thanks. Perhaps it's a Redfin policy on just the front photo once under contract?

what do you guys think of this one? We went to the open house and it’s packed of people. Like crazy. I actually like it. Not surprised it’s pending now

Seems fine. I have never lived in AU Park, but based on general familiarity, this seems like a pretty typical style of house there.

It’s pretty typical of the neighborhood except the bathrooms are dated, and the kitchen is a bit too. If they were updated it would probably be a feeding frenzy.
