I’ve told my Republican friends in DC to do the same - vote for moderate Dems in the primaries.
Unfortunately, I find Republicans to be extremely wedded to the “conservative” identity because it’s a big signifier in their communities (white, wealthy). Registering as a democrat to strategically vote in the primary is a bridge too far for them. |
OP is one of the few sane people on this board, and is 100% correct. |
Well you got several great extremist possibilities: Ehrlich, Raskin, Mosby (if she can stay out of jail), and Franchot. |
| Doing and voting exactly opposite of what the SS/TP cartel wants. |
Hogan is also responsible for desecrating the sovereignty of Baltimore city and flooding the streets with racist state police for no justifiable reason. |
I’m not sure that I follow the complaint. Until 2020 BCPD was a state agency. Control of the police was given back to the city during Hogan’s governorship. This is like some up-is-downism. All BCPD officers were state police until 2021 when the assembly passed and Hogan signed a bill delegating the authority of the BCPD to local control. |
Don't forget Perez |
I’m sure a lot of Democrats will agree with you that the former Republican governor of MD is an extremist. |
|
The supreme court should throw out the system where politicians choose their voters, rather than the other way around.
That alone would do a lot to restore moderation in this country. |
None of the first three are running and if you think Franchot is an extremist you have no idea what you’re talking about. |
| Ranked choice voting |
Because Baltimore could use less police. |
So, Republicans vote for "status" instead of beliefs??? |
Sorry, I would vote for Hogan again, and will not vote for Elrich. Hogan has done a solid job. |
Agree. The SS/TP folks need to get real jobs, for once. |
