No, I'm not a troll...and unfortunately my DD is Asian which is why I am concerned.

1540 is great for Case Western even for an Asian. It's a good score for any school for anyone. Submit it everywhere. |
| You should report the score. My DS applied to Case EA. He reported his test scores and received a huge merit scholarship. Good luck! |
However, your logic makes no sense if you believe everything on DCUM...how could it possibly be better to not submit the score since the supposed conclusion would be your DD scored really low. How would it possibly help to hide a score like that? |
| DS went Test Optional at Case for EA and got the max merit. |
| Lots of scores in 1500s were deferred/rejected for Case in the EA round. Yield protection. |
| The only school a 1540 might be "okay" (not low) is Caltech and MIT |
| This is absurd. No one on the planet would tell you to hide a 1540. Furthermore, hide and they will assume the score was MUCH worse. |
My kid has an act of 35, and was deferred! 3.89 UW, very rigorous course load. I'm assuming CW is practicing yield protection? They didn't reject DC, but it was a safety for DC, so the deferral was a surprise. DC got into all the other safeties. Still waiting on reaches and matches. |
Geeze people. This is clearly a troll post!! Who would "hide" a 1540 anywhere?? Dumb, folks. You fell for it. |
Are you talking about this? https://admissions.nd.edu/visit-engage/stories-news/university-of-notre-dame-reviews-a-record-number-of-9-689-restrictive-early-action-applications-for-the-class-of-2026/ Looks like it came out in December? My Asian girl got in. Good to see bump in Asian population. |
I hope you’re right but, as you say, a lot of dumb folks around and OP could be one of them… |
Similar. DC has a ACT of 34, 3.92UW, rigorous courses + leadership and was deferred, but with an overall admission rate of around 29% DC did not consider it a safety. |
