Aps testing

Glad to hear it's crashing and burning. This testing is school closures by stealth.

Congrats on everyone who, despite OP's pleas, decided to give commentary on whether they should participate.

Congrats to the testing companies, the only people who win from asymptomatic testing. $$$$

Nope. Kid was tested. There's plenty of positives from his school, but no results yet

My son was tested today. His elementary has had very few positive cases to date and good participation. He said 6 of 24 kids in his class get tested. It went smoothly today and it moved to the stage in the multipurpose room instead of the courtyard. No results yet.

Glad turnout for school testing increased. Parents and kids are taking care of the community.

And many wearing better masks.

My middle Schooler told me that hardly anyone is getting tested anymore because most of them got Covid over break.

Do you have the data regarding the increase of asymptomatic testing or is that anecdotal?

Our kid was tested last week (we opted in). Was such a nothingburger for her that we hadn’t realized they’d started until getting results today. Negative. Child is in first grade. Think half of class participated, she didn’t say much about it at all. It’s no biggie to her.

We don’t know what day, but they were out Mon/Fri.

Our first grader was tested on Wednesday and received their results via text and email on Friday night. We didn't receive results from the first week of school.

This is crazy. I have one kid in APS and one in private. Private kid gets tested weekly during school (mandatory for all) and we get the results that evening, maybe 6-7 hours after the test was done.

APS kid hasn't been tested at all. I feel like what's even the point?

Elementary and Middle School parent -

The first week of testing I received results maybe 5 days after testing. With the original vendor I never received any notification. Subsequently I have received test results the same evening the day my kids were tested (albeit VERY late in the evening but well before checking email first thing in the morning).

Not interested in people telling me not to participate - thanks.

There's a link on one of the texts or emails the new tester sent, and you can click there and it will take you to an online page for your kid and you can see the results there. BUT I say that with the caveat that this only worked last week for us, didn't work the first week, and they were only tested today, so no results yet for this week. The link that has worked for me is the one that originally took you to the demographics page, but now takes you to a results page.
