Sunday Snow storm could be a monster or busty

So snow in the winter is an indicator of climate change?

Well, that’s certainly convenient.

I’m absolutely fine with it being a bust. We’re out of snow days and the next time we have one I’ll have to supervise six hours of virtual with my 5-year-old. Ugh.

Fingers crossed this turns out to be nothing! Will probably try to stock up at the store beforehand anyway, because even if it's "just" frigid gross rain I won't want to go out.

I'm not the pp but the weakening of the gulf stream leading to extremely cold weather is directly tied to the warming of the arctic.

Update - it looks like the Sunday storm will not produce much snow, but it will come on STRONG and WINDY, so for a short while, visiblity will probably be impacted - stay off the roads.

We also have to worry about potential ice accumulation. So again, stay off the roads on Sunday afternoon/night.

Yeah... it's looking more like 1 inch than 3 for DC and surrounding areas though right now. Plus whatever freezing sludge comes after.

Overall not the Narnian winter we were looking for.

The ice and wind are more worrisome for power outages.

That’s the best thing about climate change doomism - no matter WHAT happens, it’s climate change. Cold in the winter? That’s climate change. Warm spell in the winter? Also climate change. Hot in the summer? Definitely climate change. Cool weather in summer? Trump’s fault for sure!

It was cloudy today, must be global warming. It rained someplace, must be global warming. The wind is blowing, must be…. You get the idea

Yeah. Just skip that. No point.

But then how will we both have an incredibly stressful day that accomplishes nothing?
