My kids were on screens for most of the day

Do what you have to in order to get through the day and get some of your own work done! It's hard.

Why weren’t they in school?

Where do you live? Here in the DC area most districts have been shut down all week for snow.

When your kids are 20 I swear you all are going to look back and wonder why you spent so much energy on this. They’ll be fine. Kids made it through the Dust Bowl - your kid will be unscathed by a little delightful programming.

It's a pandemic mixed with a snow streak--give yourself a break. Made worse by the fact that snow days for adults don't seem to exist anymore now that so many people can telework.

Min have been on screens since Wednesday but it's because their school system went virtual.
After school I send them to play in the snow. It is what it is.

Another no-screen household here. No way. No way. School only.

What were they actually doing? Reading, anything educational and creative? Or watching Tiktok and craptube? Let's focus a bit more on what is actual on the "screen" rather than the method of delivery.
