As a Mother of three grown children - I can say that I know firsthand that there are times when kids can drive you mad‼️🤯

BTDT 10000x trust me on this.

When my kids were younger & driving me up the wall, I would always think of those families who had lost children.
I imagine the horror of their tragic losses + imagined that they would have traded places w/me in less than a heartbeat.

Those thoughts made me appreciate things a little better.

I’m a mom of older kids too and while I know you meant well I submit posts like that aren’t the most helpful —kind of shaming them. Of course they wouldn’t trade places with someone who had suffered a tragic loss but that doesn’t mean they can’t feel frustrated right now. I understand that feeling grateful can be helpful but honestly —parenting is wonderful and I adore my kids but I didn’t love every moment and that doesn’t mean I’m not being grateful enough —just human.
