This. If you do not tip well very well, it is shameful.

fyi "tip generously" does not mean 20% in this circumstance. It means like if your pizza order costs $25, you should tip $25 at minimum. And still shovel.

No. I would tip $5. $25 is ridiculous

IN A SNOWSTORM? Without having shoveled your snow? $5 is what you should tip on a normal day.

OP - do not listen to this person. If you are not willing to tip *at least* $20-25, fire up that can of soup you have left from hoarding last year.

Roads near me are a mess and there are lots of accidents (per people in the neighborhood FB groups). It seems wrong to call for delivery right now. At least wait until the roads improve.

I assume that if you call to get a pizza delivered, they would say it is pick up only if they deem the roads are too unsafe for the drivers.

Ha your faith in the morals of business owners is too much. They might but they probably won’t, nor when there is money to be made.

That's just evil. I've got 7 inches of uncleared snow on my street and driveway. You expect someone to drive to you, risk life and limb, for $5? Like half of minimum wage?

Just use DoorDash. Nobody is forcing them to work today. If they accept, it's a choice.

It’s not a choice when you have to pay the bills. The privilege on this website , just astonishing.

This is a tricky one though because they need the money and OP not ordering pizza as a protest against capitalism won’t actually help them. What will help is a $25 tip.

Agreed. The rudeness and selfishness in this area never cease to amaze me.

NP- Are you ordering multiple deliveries to ensure a profitable day? Business might be slower than usual, best use your privilege to compensate.

Hi I think I went to college with you.

Endangering the life of some peasant -- instead of your own -- for a damn pizza? Really? And you think a $5 tip is adequate? If he crashes his or her car it's at least a $500 deductible. More likely a $1,000. Let alone the risk to his or her life. I think it's wrong to even order -- you have NOTHING to eat? But if you really do, at least give the kid $20.

How much do you or your husband make an hour? How long round-trip, door to door to door, will it take you to go retrieve the pizza yourself? Do that math plus at least $3 to 4 in gas, right? Tip him that amount.
