eye twitching and covid?

One of my eyes twitched a lot last week and it never does this. DH kept telling me it was too much time on computers, which didn’t make sense since it was my vacation. I also had diarrhea for two days. I’m not sure it’s a coincidence but two in the family tested positive shortly after and are sick. I tested negative but were those my symptoms? I couldn’t get into a pcr and we are using rapid at home tests. Everyone here is isolating.

I have COVID (vaccinated and boosted) and currently experiencing eye twitching! Also feels like I have a bad cold! Sending you lots of positive and healthy feels!

OP back and my twitching lasted for the first 3 days. I'm still mid COVID so I hope it does not come back.

I’ve just been looking for info about this. Vaccinated and boosted with Pfizer. Had COVID the week after Christmas, a mild case. Twitching in my eye and the muscles in the eye socket, eyebrow and cheek my started with the virus but got worse after my Pfizer booster 2 weeks later. It’s really driving me nuts.

Possibly totally unrelated, but to add to the anecdotes: I recovered from covid a month ago and for the past few days have had an occasional eye twitch despite sleeping soundly.

I have been paranoid about possible neurological symptoms and this doesn't help.

I will humor you. Yes, I have experienced eye twitching before.

What is different this time is it onset at the same time as my other symptoms, so at this point it's 3 days of eye twitching. Hence, my question.

It’s because people are so desperate to cling to the fiction that “OMG Omicron is just the sniffles” to justify their lazy and selfish choices.

Stumbled across this thread. I had covid in December. I have worn contact lenses for 10+ years and never had any issues. Interestingly, in January I developed a corneal ulcer. Since, I have been experiencing twitching in that eye. Optician said I have dry eyes which likely helped the ulcer to develop. Could the dry eyes be linked with Covid... it is funny timing for sure... And interesting to read other people's experiences with eye symptoms and Covid.

Are we confusing eye-twitching and eyelid twitching? I've had occasional eyelid twitching for decades. My "eye" has never twitched.

I experienced eye twitching in December and was also concerned. My doctor said I needed to get better sleep. I purchased a new mattress set and have made quality sleep a higher priority. The eye twitching is gone. Best of luck to you.

Yes! I had (unusual for me) eye twitching 2 days before I had symptoms. When the symptoms came on, I had migraine. My eyes hurt, head hurt (same side as eye twitching), light sensitivity. Also had severe hip and leg pain (same side) and I thought I was having a heart attack or stroke. This lasted for 2 days. It was awful!! Roughly 3 weeks after Covid, I still have occasional eye twitching.

By the way, ignore the rude comments of those that bully. There is no way for them to know how something could affect others.
