traveling with Uppababy stroller, am I nuts?

Can you walk around the block with the stroller in its bag, a baby on your hip and your suitcases? If you can't do that I wouldn't bring it with you. We use the BOB for car trips and a Maclaren for airplane trips. My son did ok napping even though it doesn't lie flat but we also tried to make sure he got a good nap in a bed more times than in the stroller for all of our sanity.

One thing to consider: twice, when we traveled internationally, we gate checked our Quinny (which had its own bag); both times, the baggage folks didn't recognize it as a stroller and put it underneath, so we couldn't get it at the gate upon arrival.

OP here, we finally bought a Quest - no more traveling with the Vista.

I havent read all the posts, but I traveled several times with my Vista, first time dd was 8 weeks old and I did it on my own, checked it at gate. I did buy the cover to protect it.
