Do buttons fall off tufted sofa easily (with daily use and kids)?

I have a tufted Room and Board that’s 11 years old, three kids. We don’t eat anywhere but the dining room so crumbs aren’t an issue, but I would never ever get another button butt couch again. After the cushions begin to smoosh down with regular use, every time you try to get comfortable, there’s a button under your butt. The buttons are all still on and not tearing or anything, but I hate them.
