Are you traveling with your tween/teen (not eligible for boosters)?

Yes, traveling with a 10 and 13 year old.

We traveled when cases were lower and took a maximum of precautions: N95s and KF94s, hardly eating on the long-haul flight, AirBnB and testing, no dining indoors, etc...

Traveling now? Not on your life.

No. We cancelled our trip to the West Coast to visit family, one of whom had brain surgery to remove a tumor. Everyone has had boosters except for DS who is too young. Not worth the stress to everyone with Omnicron and we were just there over Thanksgiving.

My 12 yr old is not vaccinated, my 15yr old had not had his booster. We are getting in a plane next week. Not sure what exactly I'm supposed to be panicked over?
Anonymous
Yes we are living a normal life. Teens do not get very sick if they are vaccinated.

Why not vaccinate the 12 yo?

New York is full of people getting covid with boosters.

I’m not giving my teen a booster at this point, I think we’ve been had.

My other kid had covid pre vaccine eligibility and it was so trivial. There is no real “risk”

“There is no real risk” from your sample size of ONE?

Be smarter.

In Hawaii now with two under 16! Only husband is boosted. We do mostly eat outside and I’m going to have to think about risk of going back inside restaurants when we get back, but otherwise, we are masking as necessary and getting back to normal.

My 16 yr old is unvaccinated and he will stay unvaccinated until he turns 18 and can decide for himself, and he is currently out of town.

My kid is also not yet vaccinated and we just had a great family vacation.

Yep out of the country which required tests before arriving. The alternative was sitting at home w nothing to do bc everyone locking down. I don’t regret it. We test the day before we come home and hopefully all will work out.

PP both kids are vaxxed but not yet eligible for booster. we don’t regret our choice. COVID is here forever it’s time to figure out how to live with it
