| Here's a chapter. Fly out to AZ to see Mom who had a heart attack/stroke (doing fine) and stay with elderly aunt who has cancer. That turns out to be MUCH worse than it was reported and she's so brain-addled she keeps throwing away the food I buy for myself. So it's Christmas Day, I'm far from my own family, and her friends brought her Christmas dinner and I had a frozen dinner. So thoughtful. My mother gets out of rehab on the 29th and I just might stay with them. I'd rather sleep on the damn floor then tolerate this shit any longer. |

Well I just logged into DCUM to get advice on how to deal with my mom who has clearly declined and is yelling at all of us and my teenage daughter who is especially obstinate today.
Please write the book. I need it and would help you promote it. |
Ooh, I’m ordering too. Thanks, PP! Proof that these kinds of topics can be delightful — right now I’m reading “Black Widow,” by Leslie Gray Streeter, and it is a joy. I wouldn’t have expected a memoir of grieving her husband’s sudden death to be so enjoyable, but it really is. The right writer can make anything relatable. |
