| Possibly a separate question, but does anyone have a toaster oven/air fryer? Any good? |
| Thanks from OP. Ours has clearance on the sides and behind, the issue from DH's perspective is that it is underneath cabinets and as other posters have said, heat rises. We do keep the crumb tray clean, in our house the appliance is used frequently. |
| Ours is also under the cabinet on the counter and has been for about 15 years. |

The only available spot in my tiny kitchen is on the work surface of a smallish kitchen hutch on a short wall. Probably about 3 inches clearance behind and 12" above. I clean the crumb tray frequently--I don't have a separate toaster. It's a cuisinart and it actually does say to uplug when not in use, but I don't. A couple of times I accidentally left it on bake--it has a timer for the toast setting but not for baking, but auto-shuts off after 2 hours.
The high school in my parents' hometown burned down in the 80s because of a Bunn coffee maker in the teacher's lounge. They don't know why it started the fire, just that's where it started during the night. |
put a bamboo cutting board on the top of the toaster oven. heat will not transfer past the cutting board. breville sells a $$ custom board with feet. We just use whatever Home Goods sells and it's been fine for 5 years. And that Breville oven (now with air fryer function) is our most used appliance. |
| Steam-convection oven on a dedicated gfci outlet on its own little table in the kitchen. |
| I pull mine out each time. |
