Mid 30s and single, where to live?

Union Market

There are some really nice new buildings with good amenities, great restaurants at your doorstep, it's near Union Station where you can catch the red line to Metro Center, there's a Target a short driving distance in Ivy City and a Whole Foods nearby on H Street, and it's an easy area to get in and out of with a car. Personally, I would hate having a car near Logan Circle even with parking as you can end up sitting in a lot of traffic to get outside the core of the city.

H St. NE, NOMA, Navy Yard, Wharf, Logan, 14th St.

All are good options in your budget, and much less boring than the suburbs.

I loved living in Logan Circle when we didn’t have kids. We walked everywhere. It’s so central to so much in DC.

My understanding is that if you are a Republican the Navy Yard is the new Clarendon.

+1! We lived in Logan Circle for a decade and moved away when our first was a baby. Loved everything about it.

Lol. True. For others I’d say Union Market.

Lots of new development in Shaw and U Street and close to everything, since you’re a new building person.
At this age I lived in the Lanier Heights part of Adams Morgan and absolutely loved it. Not many new buildings but there are a few.
