Any MCPS acceptances?

Congrats to all! My DD didn’t do ED because chances were low but we love it. Did the acceptance email mention how many applicants applied ED? I bet it was a record number. Thank you!

No, there was nothing in the acceptance letter about that. Curious if/when they will release that data!

Congrats to all the acceptances! I have a senior there who just loves this school--he's grown so much and has had so many opportunities, even with the pandemic. It's very challenging, very rigorous, but very supportive. It's an amazing school.

Looking at who DD knows who applied (inluding herself), everyone was admitted (though a small sample size for sure). We any NOVA kids not admitted?

Those are the scores of the students who actually showed up so the acceptance scores were even higher (many Ivy-bound Virginians use W&M as a safety while hoping for an elite SLAC or Ivy. UVA is only slightly ahead in most categories at 4.52, 4.39 and 4.23. A 75th percentile ACT of 35/34/32. And a SAT of 1510/1460/ and 1400. Those are some pretty amazing scores.

weird why was my post saying that W&M wants kids that want to go there deleted? it's a fact, they take a good amount from ED1 and ED2, that is the way to go if you want to get in and it's your first choice. I believe it's because they know alot of VA kids are applying to both UVA and W&M and they want the W&M kids. What is wrong with that?
