How many pizzas for 7 adults, 2 teens, 4 kids

I think 3 is sufficient, but I would probably get 4 just to be safe, plus you can get more variety that way

LOL. You are tough! Don't invite me to your party!!

I would be happy for you to come and eat all that is leftover - sometimes it is more than a full pie LOL.

2 teens = 1 large
4 kids = 1 large
7 adults = 2 or 3 larges

I’d go with 5 minimum.

I just did 5 large pizzas for 8 adults, 4 teens, and 2 kids over Thanksgiving weekend. Ended up with a little less than one pizza left over. I was figuring ~3 people per pizza

Just saying that everyone is making fun of me - but my two slices per per person and then rounding up to the full pie - is 5 pizzas here LOL.

Even if I were serving some other food, I would err on the side of 3 slices per person to be safe.

Adults mostly will eat only 2 (especially if you have other stuff too), but teens will definitely eat 3, maybe more, and kids are all over the place. Some won't eat much, but others will eat 3 because they won't eat anything else, or are hitting a growth spurt, etc.

3 pieces per person, average, is the sweet spot with this group IMO. You're HIGHLY unlikely to run out, but also not likely to have tons and tons of leftovers.

6 adults = 2 pieces each of a Large
2 teens = 3-4 pieces each
2 kids + older adult = 1 piece each

23 pieces - get 4 large to be safe and make sure everyone gets the toppings the want.

No..you are recommending 26 slices. 8 slices per pie. just over 3 pies.

My mom bought 1 frozen pizza for 3 college age kids over TG I went out and bought 2 more. A few slices left.

This is how I calculated it too.

8 pieces, each large pie. Each person gets 2+/- slices, assuming they eat pizza. You do the math, OP.

Oh HA! OK - so I am recommending 4 - thanks for correcting my math.

But anyway I am not annoyed or anything - you're just making me feel like that one poster who said 1 piece per person. Does anyone remember that? It was years ago I think.

My 11 year old eats more than 2 slices of pizza. A teen would eat much more.

Err on the side of more. Leftover pizza is good.

This. I'd get 6. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 tweens) always orders 2 large. Sometimes we have most of a pizza leftover, sometimes we only have a slice or two. And leftover pizza is a much better "problem" than not enough pizza.

That's when Americans were not fat and people were actually nice to each other. Gone gone gone...
