I have fibroids and had fertility issues. But the fibroids didn’t cause the fertility issues. Once we switched to donor eggs, I got pregnant from every transfer.
And as a part of the fertility testing, they determined that the fibroids wouldn’t interfere with implantation, so I didn’t have them removed. But one fibroid grew during pregnancy and pushed my cervix aside. It was so big that during manual vaginal checks they thought it was the baby’s head. I always had to warn them LOL But I did need a c-sec. Kinda glad it happened the way it did. I knew very early on I was most likely going to need a cs. And I knew exactly when I was going to deliver (39 weeks). |
| I had fibroids that fortunately didn’t affect my pregnancy because I had a surprise pregnancy. I think a lot probably depends on where the fibroids are; my enormous one was outside of my uterus. I did have a hysterectomy 8 years later because the largest fibroid had grown to disgustingly large proportions. |
