Your last statement is odd. Is that a typo? I too have had the experience you describe. However I finally found an amazing crew. They've been cleaning for me now for 12 years. Each time I've moved they start with a massive detail like the OP describes and then basically maintain with a massive annual detail each year. |
| We did this last year post some renovations and I told myself I was going to have this deep clean done yearly. |
|
We have people come clean 3-4x a year and pay extra for the “deep clean” service. I have found this gets my house much cleaner over time than paying for weekly it monthly cleans. I can do a maintenance clean myself — cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen, dusting and vacuuming. This stuff is easy. But having people deep clean quarterly means the fridge always gets cleaned properly, the oven gets clean, the windows (inside and out), behind and under furniture, the laundry closet, etc. The stuff I might do if I have time but is too easy to let slide.
We use Well Paid Maids. Cost depends on which specific services we sign up for (I won’t have them do everything every time, I look and see what needs it and sometimes I’ll have just cleaned something). Usually pay around $250 including tip. Our home is small (1200 sf, 2 bed/2 bath). Generally takes them around 4 hours. |

Please share, please, please! I need the number too.
How much did it cost? |
WHo did you use? How much did it cost? |
| OP paid $1,000 for a 3000sqft home. |
| NP. I booked well-paid maids for December! Thanks to all who gave info. |
Do you remember if they were pretty expensive? I just booked paidwellmaids and it will be around $400 with tips for a 4 bedroom 3 bath house (one bath is just the half). But, honestly, if they do a good job it is totally worth it. FIL is coming, sprung it on us and I actually live and work in a town 9 hours away and we are gathering at our MD place for one weekend in December. He was not coming and everyone was staying in a hotel and now he decided to come and I will stay at your place, thanks so much, not even letting us know but SIL told us! |
| For well-paid maids, what is the benefit of the deep clean? Do they do things like clean baseboards (which is usually separate)? I may book them at some point but other than the deep clean adding extra time, I'm trying to figure out if you get something more for it. |
| I am tempted to book well paid maids for a clean with a bunch of extras and not tell my regular house cleaner just because the booking is so easy. |
|
That is WAY more than we’ve ever paid our cleaner, who owns her own business. She does an amazing job and things like changing sheets, cleaning baseboards and the inside of the microwave are all included. $160 for a clean, 3 bed, 3 baths.
The comments all read like a big advertisement for Well Paid Maids. |
| Yup. My first ever base clean from my cleaner was 8 hrs and 2 women. After that they come by weekly. It was worth jt since it was super clean to start and she can kind of maintain |
I am the one that booked them. Yes, it is expensive, and I would love it if you gave a referral to your service. |
+1 please share. |
Why don't you book them for AFTER everyone leaves? |
