Popeyes in DC video of rats went viral about a month ago. Gross! |
| I worked in a highly rated restaurant in another city. We had roaches and rats. And mice. It was in the basement of a gorgeous town house in beautiful part of the city where people pay millions to live. Once a customer found a roach in her breadbasket. It happens. |

If a restaurant is in an older building, this is inevitable.
But, I worked at a teen in various middle quality chain restaurants (Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Cracker Barrell) and I don't recall seeing any roaches or mice ever. |
| I would report it to the health department. |

As a teenager, I worked a chain restaurant and never saw a roach or a mouse. I worked as a hostess, busboy, and on busy nights, I'd help plate food and make salads. I often closed up in the evening. I grew up in a far suburb of Chicago though where things aren't so close together like in the city but still. I'm sure lots of places have pest issues, I know I've dealt with them in my home, but roaches crawling across the prep station at all times of day is not normal.
I did see a roach crawling up a wall at one of those restaurants at the food court at Tyson's Corner mall once so I'm guessing it's infested. |
