What schools do algebra 2/pre-Calc? I thought it was Alg 2/Trig, then pre-Calc.

Not offered at our W HS. Is it at Blair?

Honors pre-calc is known as the most difficult math class at our school. I'm not sure why (kid is not there yet) but I've heard this from multiple math teachers and former students.

my kid is actually thinking of taking a summer pre-calc course in preparation for taking honors pre-calc during the school year.

OP here. Yes. It's a magnet offering, I think? though my kid isn't in the magnet.

DC's older sibling took honors precalc last year and didn't find it too challenging, and is not as talented mathematically as this child. However, this one is in CAP and is very busy with those classes which is why they are resisting switching classes now and adding to the workload. I've been trying to persuade, but no luck yet.

Look into dual enrollment at Montgomery College - I teach there and we often have bright kids from MCPS in our summer classes. Not sure if they are rising juniors or seniors though, and I'm not in the Math department so no specific suggestions.

This is smart.
