Takoma Park Maryland raises for city council but not workers?

I think you may not be considering that TP council members spend their time on nuclear proliferation, world peace, world poverty, all of which are complex issues that require a substantial amount of time and effort.


That's not their job.


Surely the citizens of TP would benefit from solving these problems. Maybe TP should apply for UN membership.

I assume this is said ironically? I would never have any interest in living in TP. They're all a bunch of navel gazers.
