I’m sure Frappuccinos are exceptionally profitable for Starbucks. They are some of the most expensive items on the menu (with the cheapest ingredients) and most Americans are overweight and sugar-addicted.

The cold drinks are more expensive so they should make up more of sales. Plus anyone can make hot coffee at home, I’m not making a damn Frappuccino or Pink Drink at my house.

A lot of people who don’t even drink coffee get dragged to Starbucks and they have to order something.

I didn't realize that it was WHITE AMERICANS drinking cold drinks. I guess people originating from the entire SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE drink warm beverages exclusively. Who knew!

Makes sense to me. Americans love big sugary drinks -- you know, Big Gulps and such. They convince themselves they are very thirsty. You can't really gulp down a giant hot coffee. It's hot. You can however, guzzle down a frappuccino or iced tea or whatever fruity juices they have there.

I'm white and fit a lot of white-girl stereotypes but can't stand cold coffee or coffee with anything added to it. Plain black dark-roast drip or espresso/Americano every time. (My male colleagues are pretty into cold brew though lol)
