Guarantee that the winters are just as bad in western Massachusetts as in central Iowa. Lived in both.


Good to know. I found the weeks of -50F with windchill and the daily "this is how many minutes you can be outdoors until you will die from exposure" index on the weather reports in Iowa to be just..

Has she thought of University of Central Florida? Not sure there's a better place to study hospitality than Orlando! Their program is one of the top in the country. Big, diverse school.

Love Iowa State's campus. Very very midwestern vibes- could be a pro or con depending. Kind of a PITA to get there. Yes, it's cold. Ames is a great college town.

Also consider Penn State.
