How to celebrate Halloween in an environmentally-friendly way?

People make fun of handing out pretzels for Halloween, but my guess is these items are less likely to be tossed and actually get packed in lunches or eaten for snack.
If you look, you can find treats packaged in foil or paper instead of plastic.

I buy a small quantity of seasonal decor and use it year after year. None of it is plastic.

For halloween, we re-use costumes between kids and sell them for re-use when we're done.
