Requesting DC's MAP Scores?

The report we find the most helpful for our student is the Student Profile. This shows the overall score and the sub scores in the different areas. Then you can see if a certain area needs to be reinforced over another one.

Teachers have these. I got the family report for my 4th grader from her teacher.

I don't think we need to excessively bug the teachers or school about MAP reports in general - I admit I've asked for DS's overall score before it was available in ParentVue, but only when he wasn't doing super well on some of the assignments, just to get a better picture of his understanding and such. But... if they have them, why don't they just post the more detailed version and why do they wait months and months to post anything? I feel like it's the same amount of work for the school to post the more detailed score breakdown early and in doing so, they might be able to avoid tons of parent questions.

Those aren't that helpful, There's no way to know what they're doing well in or okay in relative to them despite a 20-40 point difference in the sections. They all just say HIGH.

Good for you but the OP has a right to information about their child.

Umm, that was part of my point? I said that they should post the complete info earlier, which would lead to fewer people bugging them. Given that they don't that, I feel bad asking teachers individually (because you are making more work for them), though I have definitely done that before. (Because it doesn't seem to be individual teachers deciding this, as it appears to be the same across MCPS.)

Nevertheless parents have a right to this information.
