Lamaze Classes in NoVA?

Have you ladies thought of Birth Works classes? They are wonderful! I actually teach and there are other instructors in in are area as well. Go to www.birthworks.org for more info.

I have not been able to find any lamaze classes offered through the hospitals - I've searched their websites and they have labor and delivery but not lamaze specificaly. www.lamaze-dc.org is the only place I've found any lamaze classes at all. Am I missing something?

Looked at the Fairfax INVOA link...no lamaze classes. Just childbirth prep, which in my understanding is different? Am I wrong?

Not sure what is covered in lamaze class, but the childbirth prep at Inova covers the different stages/phases of labor, breathing methods, pain management, basic newborn care, etc.

What is the difference between Lamaze and Childbirth Prep? Has anyone taken the childbirth class at VHC?
