16th birthday party for a boy

Do 16 yo boys still go to laser tag? This was popular with my son and his friends around 2nd-4th grade. By middle school they were having paintball parties. Maybe that with a small group.

My daughter loves parties. Not sure if boys are different? 50-60 sounds huge and it will get out of control fast. I would do 25 max, and be aware it could still get crazy. But if that’s what he wants I would do it. Give space & privacy, but also do walk throughs (refreshing drinks and food) to make sure no one is ruining your house or smoking or whatever else.

I do agree that sound really big OP but think you are a great parent for doing this. I'm sure your child will be really happy!

That's kinda weird to invite 50 kids to a 16yr old bday party. Plus, you don't really know them and vice versa.

This isn't Kindergarten where you cast a wide net. This is a teen who will have a smallish circle of friends.
Something like laser tag, dinner, your house for dessert and they'll play video games.

So you say in a year Xmas week so this is for December 2022? I can’t imagine trying to predict—and put a deposit on—what my kid would want 14 months in advance. I’m just worried one of you will be disappointed.

I asked my son who turns 16 soon. He said either a party with one friend or 10. He can't narrow the 10 down without hurting feelings. So we will go to Top Golf with 2 bays.
