+1. I dress like this for work (somewhat conservative industry, using the non-political definition) and am definitely not a conservative. I call it looking neat and professional. |
| If most conservative women dressed like that, the conservative movement would have died out already and there's no way Trump would have won in 2016. Conservative women are a very large group with a huge range of styles. |
Do you get that the inspiration for this style is Jackie Kennedy, the first lady of a Democrat president? Tell me you realize that. |
| The conservative women I know are fat and wear LuLa Roe-esque maxi skirts/A-line dresses in cheap fabrics, or "athleisure" but never exercise. |
| If you said a tweed Chanel suit, I’d agree with you but a sheath dress is classic and very popular now. I own a few myself and I am neither wealthy nor conservative. |
|
I would classify this look as more NE WASP than conservative.
|
I am conservative-leaning and this is as far from me as possible. |
Shrug. OK. |
You should see the conservative women in Appalachia! "Simply Southern" t-shirt with "God and Football" written on the back, capri leggings, hair in knot on top of head (where the brown hair is growing out), ankle tattoos, flip flops and a "mama bear" sticker on the back of her SUV. |
+1 very liberal. This is my work uniform. |
|
I think some of y’all are confusing “conservative” with “republican Trumper.”
Not the same. |
| When I’m dressed up, I go for brighter colors because they look good on me. I’ve also had bleached blonde hair since I was 14 (I’m a dull mousy blonde naturally). I love high heels and mani/pedis and pink is actually my favorite color. I’m super girly and at 35, Ive heard enough dumb blonde jokes to last me a lifetime but how I look makes ME feel good. My mood brightens up when I’m looking my best. I’m also extremely liberal. |
What do you look like? |
Same. It's easy and looks good on me. I'm also queer and have socialist tendencies. |
…if you say so.
