Sorry I don't have better news for those who may be in similiar situations in the future looking at this post.. you just never know which direction it will go.

Thanks to everyone for your support, while this one didn't end up the way we wanted I at least relished in the fact I could get pregnant and enjoyed being pregnant for however short it lasted.

So sorry, OP.

Ugh I’m sorry, OP. It’s so unfair.

Not saying to distrust your doctor but I’ve been to a few RE’s (have moved around) and none of them want to do a scan earlier than 7- 7 1/2 weeks because the chance of this exact thing happening is far greater. I don’t know that having “cardiac activity” at 6w4d is 100% certain. It seems possible you’re just too early. In regards to measuring behind - I measured a week behind at 8 weeks with a previous pregnancy and had a healthy baby. My OB was like we’re measuring MM - not feet - here, 1/4mm is several days difference.

Do you understand that with IVF they know the gestational age down to the hour? It is definitive for IVF pregnancies, and it’s presumptuous to think you only more than an RE about viability.

Only = know

OP here, appreciate the good intentions but yeah since this was an IVF baby it's pretty accurate re: timing. That said, I'm going in for a follow-up scan on Monday to be safe (7w2d), fully expecting not to see anything. If so, I'm at peace with it and will focus on next steps.

You sound like you need a therapist or close friend to air out some grievances. I said my RE’s have said 6w4d can very likely be too early - not that her dates are off. Good grief.

I have a IVF pregnancy and I'm a week a head of schedule. I keep arguing with my OB about the due date (because she is going by US and I'm going by transfer date).

I'm not saying don't be prepared for a m/c, but there is a reason why you are having a follow up scan. I think it's a little early to give up hope.
