Playing up - U15+

A 15+ girl playing up will be the first girl committed in her age group. And that translates to $$$$.

Unless a college coach (with ability to offer scholarship money) is looking specifically for a player with specific skillset to play a certain position playing a certain year.

As an example, girl in our club plays up on a very average older team that barely qualified for playoffs. She would probably start on age. Younger team is excellent, made champions league and received tons of accolades. I'd think she would play on age this year given those circumstances?

haha. I feel like if you think clubs have recruitment advisors you're not in the process, and yet you feel inclined to say others don't know what they're talking about.

I guess you're at the wrong club. Since the OP mentioned his DD plays on an ECNL team I expected that she would have access to one. My DS played for two clubs during his recruitment period, and both had recruitment advisers.
