When did your DD start having a skincare routine or wearing makeup?

Why?

I don't get what is creepy about it either.

Skin care routine at 11. Simple gentle wash and moisturizer. She is now 13 and only wears mascara and tinted lip gloss when she goes somewhere with friends. But I was volunteering the other day and saw that a lot of girls her age wear tons of makeup.

I started telling my DDs before they were 10 that the only effective anti-acne solution I found was sharply decreasing sugar intake. As a preteen and teen I tried every salve and creme known to man but my acne could not be calmed until I stopped eating most artificial sugar at age 35.

Makeup - 14?

This. Though the make up is so little you can't really tell.

At 11, a gentle wash in the evening to wash off sunscreen. A shower alone wasn't cutting it. Just a rinse with water in the A.M. As colder weather approaches, I'll have her look into a mild moisturizer if her skin needs it.
No make up yet but I she could have a light tinted lip color when she wants it. We all have thick dark lashes so our eyes can look very dramatic with even the lightest touch of eye makeup, so if she wants eye make up, I'll ask her to go light at school.

Skincare at 12 (maybe 11). And mascara only at 14 when she started high school and tinted lip gloss. She still isn’t into much makeup at 18 except very formal or special occasions.

My 12 year old enjoys experimenting with eyeliner. Im not good at makeup and barely wear any, but feel like it’s good yo let her express herself and practice self care and feel good about herself. Im mostly concerned with her taking it off at night.
