I'm contemplating this program. I read somewhere that if there are two recipients waiting and a month goes by without a third, you proceed with just the two recipients. My RE just told me that the chance of cancellation for the first two were less than 10 percent and the third one 18% (but then you would move up the next time). The stats on their website looked good and I think they use proven donors with this program.

Maybe this is old information for you, but just thought I'd share in case it's not. I would love to know how this works for you, as I'm still just learning about this!

total BS with SG stats, they sell you on price then waste precious time. I did 3, 1:3 cycles and was so emotionally strung out that I really wish we had opted to do 1:1 or even 1:2 but the price sold us at first.

that's my concern too. did you get pregnant on your third try? it seems like a lot of their donors (at least the ones we're interested in are in for the 1:3 program. we're not caucasians and that is making it even harder for us to choose a donor.

PP we had to move to another clinic to find a suitable donor so in the end we wasted time and money at SG.

pp, which clinic did you move to? and did you do a 1:1 or 1:2 there? did you get pregnant on the first round? thanks!

So glad I saw this thread, I had misgivings about SG's 1:3 guarantee so I think my DH and I will consult elsewhere before making the final decision.

We were one of the first cycles with the 1:3 program. I think we ended up with 8 fertilized. We implanted 2 and have a 3 year old DD. We also have 2 on ice. Good luck.

My husband (Caucasian) and I (Asian) are considering the 1:3 program, but we're also worried about the limited # of Asian donors and how long we may have to wait till 2 other recipients come along. The donor coordinator insists that they have "plenty" of Asian donors waiting to be approved, and she also confirmed that they will allow us to move forward if there are only 2 recipients after 30 day wait period. Has anyone had success with their Asian donors in the 1:3 program?
