Comfortable Bra?

Has anyone found a bra that is comfortable to wear during pregnancy. I find I can't wait to take mine off as soon as I come home and was wondering if there's actually some comfortable bras out there!!

I have resorted to sports bras through most of my pregnancy. For a while I thought it was my bra that was causing me discomfort, but it wasn't, I have rib pain with any kind of bra or even no bra. The baby has dropped a bit in the past week and I went back to wearing my regular bra one cup size larger and have found it to be no more or less comfortable than the sports bras i was relying on for the past few months.

When I was pregnant, I found some comfortable bras at Mimi Maternity. A bit pricey, but WELL worth it for the comfort!

I'm like the pp who said she gets rib pain. I did find that buying a bra without underwire and the next size up helped. I think the underwire was digging and causing discomfort.

I found an underwire free bra from the Ambrielle line at JCPenney. It was on sale, so reasonably inexpensive and I'm still wearing it at 36 weeks with pretty decent comfort.

FWIW though, I'm only a C cup, so it might be different if you're larger. And, even with the more comfortable bra, I still prefer to take it off as soon as I come home.

I am not sure of your size, but comfort and support in a bra is sooo important to me - so I have some recommendations. That being said, I need to let you know I'm on the bustier side. I've been a 32DD since I was 18 and in my first trimester of pregnancy I grew to 32GG.

The only place that I was able to find a supportive bra that fit properly and that was going to last me several months was at Trousseau in Vienna, VA (kinda a hike from DC, but worth it) http://www.trousseaultd.com/index-2.html. I think I paid about $75/bra.

Now in my last month of before my due date, of course, my chest grew again! I am now a 32H. I am not sure if you are planning on breastfeeding, but I am. I didn't want to buy more bras for just a couple of weeks, just to turn around and buy nursing bras, so I went to The Breastfeeding Center for Greater Washington for a few nursing bras. http://www.breastfeedingcenter.org. They don't have underwires, so they are not going to be as supportive - and I know it is going to take its toll on my back and the elasticity of my chest. But while there I found out that wearing underwire bras during the last month of pregnancy and the first month of breastfeeding can cause mastitis, inflammation of one or more mammary glands within the breast.

I don't know if this information will help you, but hopefully it will help at least a reader. Wearing the wrong size or kind of bra is one of the most uncomfortable things in the world.
