Health and Medicine

I developed pre-e in both my pregnancies, thankfully it was later in the pregnancy. For a little while my blood pressure stabilized but stayed borderline. My general practitioner debated whether I should be on meds but held off. I am in the normal weight category, I work out and my lifestyle is pretty standard. And my last two readings outside of the doc's office (at which the reading was scary high as well) were 161/101 and 159/99. I called my doc and will likely just have to cave and take medication.
Has anyone else have this happen to them? |
| How long has it been since you had your baby? I had pre-e with my first and it took a couple of months before going back to normal. During my second pregnancy, I developed PIH, but it seemed to return to normal much quicker. However, overall, my normal is now higher than before-- 120's over 80. |

To the OP. Preeclampsia predisposes you to future heart disease and hypertension. Definitely see a GOOD GP. You need to be followed FOREVER for future heart disease, especially if you have any risk factors.
