Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
| Just made last-minute plans to meet up tonight for drinks/dinner with a friend who is in from out of town. She hasn't been to DC very much so I want to take her somewhere with a cool/fun/elegant bar. (we are 35-year-old moms so it doesn't have to be super trendy.) Ideally I'd like to find somewhere with comfortable booths as we will likely want to have a bite to eat and sit and catch up for a couple of hours. We could also do drinks somewhere and then dinner somewhere else nearby. Anywhere downtown or Chinatown area is fine. Dupont would be OK too. Thanks so much!!! |

| Proof, Oyamel...actually Clyde's might be perfect. |

I'd go to Zaytinya because my husband refuses to eat small plates. Sigh. But it's perfect for catching up.
Another vote for Proof, too. Or Cafe Atlantico. |
| Casa Nonna in DuPont. Kellari Taverna downtown. |
