Oh come on...we need really good ideas. I am going to make nachos, but if you have something more creative out there, let us know.

TJ's has really good mini pigs in blankets. They were sampling them and I wanted to eat twenty of them, not just one.

We just bought these last week. Take it from me, you don't want to eat more than one.

Does TJ's have any other good dip/snack type foods that would work? We are heading there later.

I'm thinking of making chicken tortilla soup and then some nachos. I know DH invited at least one person (family?) over, despite the fact that I've been sick all week.

Why? Did they make you sit on the can for a length of time?

What about this:

Should be helpful.

People really buy prepared pigs in the blanket? You know it's just a mini hot dog wrapped in a Pillsbury Crescent Roll, right? Takes about 5 minutes to make 50 of them.

I'm a very busy woman. I don't have an extra 5 minutes.

Yes, after our, uh, bad experience with the ones from Trader Joe's, I bought their canned crescent rolls and a package of mini hotdogs and made my own batch. It was actually lots of fun. Unfortunately not very tastey. I need better hotdogs.

We're doing a hodge-podge of appetizers for a small group: wings, shrimp pico de gallo, stuffed jalapenos on the grill and stuffed mushroom caps. I think we'll all be feeling it the next day but it will be sooo good!

As for TJ's ... I love their feta caramelized onion pastry puffs. Ummmm good.
