About 2 weeks ago I had the Mirena removed. We're holding off on TTC officially but are not opposed to having another child right now, which is why we use "pull out" (no lectures please, we are fully aware of the statistics) Since Monday I have had symptoms that mimic early pregnancy symptoms and keep having nightmares at night which is very unlike me. Pregnancy test is negative so far.
Has anyone else experienced such intense side effects after removal or should I retest in a few days? (I thought I left this nightmare behind me when it was removed, ugh) |
I'd retest in a few days.
I had horrible, morning-sickness-like nausea after pulling my Mirena to TTC. I was told it was withdrawal from the hormones. I got pregnant on the next cycle.
Probably hormonal changes. Retest in a few days, but it's unlikely you ovulated right when you got it out, and then got pregnant that day.
OP here thanks for the replies. How long did the side effects last? I still have them quite strongly including nagging heartburn which I only have when I am pregnant. Ugh I wish my body would get it already that I am not pregnant. The test today was negative as well. (But my period might not be due yet, who knows)
