best taco seasoning

We've started making turkey tacos with ground turkey breast pretty regularly and are looking for a really good taco seasoning. Any suggestions?

Don't know if it's any good but Costco sells a large bottle of taco seasonings, could be Kirkland brand.

McCormick's Taco Seasoning. Even my mexican grandma uses it.

El Paso taco seasoning. You can buy just the seasoning and not the whole taco kit.

Penzey's is great (either their regular or their turkey seasoning).

Ack! OP here - I've used Penzey's poultry taco before and completely forgot about it! Thanks.

We found a recipe on allrecipes.com and mixed up a bunch.

OP here - I love this idea! Many of the mixes are too salty for my taste. How long does it last?

Different poster here, but we do this too. It's healthier (both fb/c of sodium and preservatives), cheaper, and tastes better (and you can customize it). I pulled about 4 recipes and mixed and matched. In an airtight container, it'll keep just as long as regular spices (although not as long as the envelopes).

Second Trader Joe's -- but it is a little spicier than most.

I gotta co-sign on the Trader Joe's taco seasoning. That stuff is delish!

Second McCormick's. We eat tacos every week and love it!

I've posted a recipe I use for seasoning mix here before:

I haven't made it for a while, but I think the amount of salt was pretty generous. I'd maybe just skip it and then add it to taste at meal time.
