What caused your early labor ? Was the baby healthy ?

I am convinced I am going to delivery early, was having contractions last nite...my dr. thinks they are BH but I really think this baby is ready to come out !!

Anyone else deliver this early ? This is my second so I know how it feels to be full term...I think this is it !

My friend did as she had preeclampsia--all turned out well. I would trust you doc though since he/she can tell if you are dialating or if the baby has dropped--my gut tells me that if these signs aren't there, you probably have some time and on your second you can feel things more than the first. Are you drinking enough water? Being dehydrated can cause contractions. I've also heard that taking vitamin C can help prevent preterm labor.

Make sure that you talk to your doctor if you really think you're having actual contractions. A friend of mine had her baby last year at 33 weeks and her daughter required multiple surgeries in the three months following birth to allow for proper breathing and digestion. Prematurity can go either way, so it's definitely worth avoiding at all costs!
