Flex Spending Reimbursement for Day Camp

We just shelled out $$$$$ for day camp for this summer. Can we submit for flex spending reimbursement now, or do we need to wait until she goes to camp this summer?

Under our plan, you can submit but they will only reimburse from your account when money is put into it. But yes, that can begin now.

It depends on your flex spending account rules. I did FedFSA and they would reject claims for charges paid in advance. For example, if I submitted my daycare expenses on January 28, and my invoice from the daycare said that the invoice was for charges through the 29th, they would deduct a day's worth of expenses before reimbursing me.

I would have to resubmit that charge AFTER the date of service.

in our program you need to both have enough dollars accumulated from the payroll deductions AND the services must acually be used, i.e. don't get reimbursed until DS goes to camp.
