Nipple discharge

I posted this in the Expectant Moms forum as well, but figured the women on this post would be more in tune with possible symptoms:

I had baby 7 months ago, weaned after 2 months. We are TTC again. Period is due today but nothing so far, negative HPT. I noticed nipple discharge this morning. On one side it is light yellow, I squeezed other nipple and clear discharge came out.

Any ideas what this is?

Your prolactin level may still be elevated from breast feeding and thus preventing ovulation, usually things return to normal in a couple of months.

Yes, but I weaned completely 4.5 months ago and had not noticed any discharge since then....in any case, I've made an appt. with doc tomorrow to make sure nothing is seriously wrong. Thanks!

Yes! I BF DD for 18 months (tried to wean at 12 months but that is another story...) Anyway, five months after I weaned her, I had nipple discharge. I happened to notice it on my pajama t-shirt and thought it was just water. The next evening I noticed the same thing and I realized it was right around the nipple. Squeezed the other one and also had discharge. As it turned out, I was pregnant but, unfortunately, I had a chemical.

How far along were you when you noticed the nipple discharge, PP?

Only four weeks but I did some research and it can happen.
