ECNL moving to school year not calendar

Anonymous
Well, it’s clear no transition rules until July at the earliest.

At this point, 95%+ of roster spots have been filled. Any rules that come out next month or in July will not cause any chaos during the try out period for this upcoming season.

I would not be surprised if the new rules permit clubs to shuffle kids around based on birth month starting in the spring. This could further reduce try out chaos next spring.

Can't wait for posts from the SY+ Leo& Virgo parent.

I'm not replying to my own posts.

I do think SY+60 is the way to go. There must be others that see its logic as well.

I appreciate all the crazy spam posts fighting against SY+60. The more you go insane the more parents are introduced the the SY+60 concept.
You liking vanilla ice cream and getting mad that other people like chocolate by constantly replying to your own posts on SY plus sized will get us to 2,000!

Well US Soccer updated their Immediate Steps Next 60 days statement to nothing, LOL!

I literally stopped posting last night and now theres a bunch more posts about addressing the trapped players that still exist under SY with a single date cutoff.

You on the other hand post like crazy saying the same thing about how great it is to put your head in the sand while responding to your own posts.

Come on, we all see it.

You'll see that the "immediate next steps" section is now gone.

How is that even allowed? Isn't there a date cut-off for biobanding?

Thank you. The way this has been re-written, it's definitely emphasized that there will be no registration changes in 25/26. Except in California?

Uh oh SY dreamland is running into some snags.

Who could have guessed?

Change a system to get rid of trapped players to a new system with trapped players.

I have a 2017 deck that says changing to BY increases participation.

You love moving the goal posts. 1/2 of the posts on this thread are about letting kids play with other kids in their grade. The other 1/2 are posts about RAE. Both say that changing to SY fixes everything.

Now youre saying that its all because of participation? Give me a break.

What snag? Cal South is changing it's registration in January 2026 - meaning it's happening earlier. If anything, it's going better than expected.

You realize that USYS and US Club soccer agreed to switch to Sept 1 registration at the end of February - and that system begins in 26/27 - right? It's done and concluded.

No amount of complaining about it on an anonymous message board change that fact. The debate is over. You lost.

Have there been waivers for December birthdays to "play down" with their school grade the past 10 years in US Club or US Youth Soccer? If so, I'm sure your right about waivers continuing.
