Palin defeats Obama in poll

In Texas.

By one percentage point.

Not good news for Palin, since Huckabee wins by 16%.

Moral: Dems are not likely to take Texas, but Palin might make it possible.

I don't really expect much comment; just thought you might be interested.

I thought the poll was concerning which one smelled better. Still, a 1 point victory for Palin sounds about right.

again, zero chance Palin runs (unless for reasons other than thinking she legitimately has a chance to win) and less than zero chance she would ever get the nomination.

Apparently they let the flies and rats vote , letting Obama close the gap and Sarah just pulled out a 1 point "squeeker".

Even scarier is that Rick Perry would tie Obama. How did he screw up that bad?

The whole thing was rigged as Dumbalina was permitted to wear deer attractant, which seems unfair.

Palin runs. It'll increase her speaking fees.

If Palin decides to run as a "maverick" she does damage to the GOP but she can also do damage Obama because he isn't going to be able to count on moderate Republicans or Independents.

Palin isn't a maverick. She is a conservative. And given her level of exposure in books, television, reality television, etc. I see no room for her to move to the middle. Her positions are set.

I am also starting to like her. But I would never vote for her

Dumbalina. Ha! I love that. Hadn't heard that yet. Need to remember it in the morning.

"Dumbalina" is laughing all the way to the bank and she was smart enough to take advantage of the opportunity given her. I doubt she will get the nomination but she has a strong backing among the ultra conservatives and she will play an important role in 2012.

Yes, she will drive the GOP primary to the right, and therefore she will hand the election to the Dems. I guess it's a win win. She gets rich, and Obama gets a second term. I can live with that.

Palin as the R nominee would drive me into activism. I've never worked on a campaign before but the thoughts of her being president is frankly so horrifying, I simply could not sit by and hope the rest of the country woke up in time to avert the train wreck.

She can't win now. But if things keep going south anything is possible. Right now Bob McDonnell would be best.
